I was considering getting the slingshot compression cuffs, but I've also seen some people with the SBD sleeves so I wanted to see if I could get some opinions on them.
But once they are set they don’t slip at all and feel incredibly supportive.

Maybe mine are too big, it's a matter of seconds for me, I have a pair of loose sleeves that take maybe a combined 20 seconds (including doing the fat guy rock and kick my leg up onto the other knee) and a pair of sleeves that I thought were about as tight as I could go and they take maybe a combined 40 seconds. SBDs are very tight compared to other sleeves. My elbow clicks. Would you recommend S or M yellow jackets you think? Suitable for training and strongman events. Depends what you're looking for. Fits snug and doesn't move or bunch up.
… Knee Sleeves: Small SBD (Purchased in April 2017). Glucosamine really helped with my elbow pain as well. My sleeves are size S (31-33cm), which fits but I think I could probably get more support if I got slightly tighter ones. USAPL, IPF and USPA approved and IWF compliant with the maximum allowable 30cm length.
In general I have also found that weak biceps and forearms contribute to elbow pain. Difficult to get on so you should only size down one size at the most.

To find your size, take two measurements -- one around your forearm and one around your lower bicep, then refer to the SBD elbow sleeve sizing chart.
They are straight up telling you that you would not be able to get XSmalls on. After seeing this suggestion elsewhere, I just started throwing these in at the end of workouts.
Then you just fold the top over your knee. I don't understand how people are able to slip into smalls so easily despite being so much larger than I am!
My lack of curls / direct bicep work has come back to haunt me. I'm not super strict about them. If it is, the compression from a sleeve may actually make it worse. Not only are these sleeves designated from left to right leg they have a tight fit, and make my squats smooth.
Do you think there will be a difference in terms of fit due to the material/quality between SBD and the cheap sleeves I have, or is it safe just going with the XS? 45mins is about as long as I can stand wearing the standard fit. I'd go small, especially if calves are bigger than knees make sure to read the fine print too.

My SBDs are a tight fit, but they're pretty easy to put on.
If you calf or knee measurements fall on size medium or smaller and you try sizing down you will not be able to get them on.
They are still really tight, although a bit easier to get on now. I missed that part and got a small.

I've been doing a lot of light tricep cable extensions to get my elbows warmed up and also after I use my Slingshot it feels considerably better, but on my raw sets there's definitely some discomfort, edit: thanks for all the suggestions guys. It's definitely the lateral based on that picture. Also, the best way to get them on is to pull them up on your shin, fold them in half, then yank them up from the bottom with two hands.

If you are new to wearing knee sleeves we recommend going with the regular fit instead of tight, especially if you fall on size medium or smaller. I recently switched to SBD knee sleeves from Rehband so I guess I'm riding on an SBD high and just assumed they'd be better, I have the rehband sleeve too mostly because I didn't want to shell out SBD money and I like it so far.

Since I've never tried SBDs, I don't know how tight the fit is, but I've been thinking about getting an XS pair (28-30.5). Make sure it is not actually nerve entrapment. ** Caution** Sizing chart is very accurate.

I also literally get steam coming off my knees when I take them off so any tighter seems totally impractical and unnecessary, especially for the tiny weight increase you'd get. To get us started off, I use small SBD knee sleeves. Which side is the pain coming from based on this picture? Medial or lateral. The sizing chart of these sleeves fit true to the actual size of my leg.
That height to weight ratio. I last measured my calf at an embarrassingly small 12.75". The sizing chart is very accurate for smaller sizes.
I bought mine for a slightly snug fit but then they loosened and now they're really not very tight and I can almost just pull them on. If your calf measurement sits at 3XL or larger we find some of our customers prefer the fit if they do size down one size.
